One & amp; Only Reethi Rah Resort, surrounded by the
crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean, located on one of the largest
in North Male Atoll Islands , in Maldives designed by
Jean-Michel Gathy, Director of Design at Denniston International Architects. Lives up to its name Reethi Rah ,
meaning "Beautiful Island" in Dhivehi language.The design of outdoor spaces surrounding
each of the 128 villas, always keeping in
mind three emblematic words: luxury, space and privacy. 
Supreme and
private luxury amid nature’s tropical magic of the Maldives. There is a
place in a far blue ocean of wonderful beauty. Generous exterior spaces range
from beach verandas to private swimming pools and large over-water decks.
The villas at One &Only Reethi Rah are
among the most luxurious and more spacious than we can find in
the Indian Ocean, leading to new heights of luxury with a
perfect illustration of the idea that one can be a refined island
of great prestige.
Guests are offered a wide choice of
villas: 77 Villas "Beach", each occupying about 135
m2 of space, with large verandas and outdoor
showers (37 have their own private infinity pool of 23 m2 and
1.2 m deep).
- 30 Villas "Water" with half level verandas and large hammockssuspended over the ocean, for moments of relaxation above water (6 of them have their own private infinity pool of 30 m2 and 1.2 m deep).
6 Villas "Duplex" all with
private infinity pool (23 m2 and 1.2 m deep), out of a total of 12 villas. 
- 5 Villas "Grand Beach", with two bedrooms and private infinity pool (50 m2 and 1.2 m deep)
- 2 Villas "Great Water" with a bedroom and a private infinity pool (13 m2 and 1.2 m deep)
- 2 Residences "Great Sunset" with three bedrooms and private infinity pool(50 m2 and 1.2 m deep)
Each villa, it is located on a
private beach or suspended above the Indian Ocean waters, is a private
sanctuary, completely autonomous, situated in a lush landscape adorned
with terraces and wooden verandas Balan straight from the Malaysian part
of Borneo. Each is separated by dense vegetation to allow guests
to enjoy complete privacy. With this type of landscaping very particular,
and the exceptional amount of space between each of the buildings,
the neighboring villas are virtually invisible to each other.
The roof of
each villa was, as tradition dictates, developed by a local craftsman,
from young coconut leaves. The outdoor wood frame and siding were
made of wood Kapur Malaysia. Inside, the villas are pleasant living
spaces and is extremely elegant. Jean-Michel Gathy said about it: "I
wanted these rooms are made with simplicity in architectural terms, so as
to create a natural environment made up of sand and vegetation. I
wanted he could
blend into the ambiance of the island. But I wanted to simultaneously
create a dramatic interior space, in order to create a breathtaking sense
of space, height and elegance. "
Inside the
villas, comfort harmoniously marries the particular care that we brought
to the style on the design of the plan. The decor is heavily
influenced by the Asian style with use of vibrant colors and intense tones,
which were associated with tropical materials and natural textures: teak,
rattan, mahogany, coconut and silk. The floor is polished granite, inlaid
with Indonesian teak.
The large bathrooms each have two sinks
furniture and an imposing granite bath very large, custom-made. The
bathtubs are carefully placed near the window, giving you a breathtaking view
of the Indian Ocean. The bathrooms are also equipped with
walk-in showers, which offer a choice between shower "rain" or
massage shower.
